Every year the school gets a number of requests for medication to be administered to students. In order to be able to accommodate these requests, the following must be in place:
- Medication must be prescribed by a physician and come in a container with the pharmacy label indicating the student's name. We are not permitted to administer over-the-counter medications such as Tylenol, unless it has been prescribed and is labelled.
- Parents must fill out an Authorization form prior to the administration of the medication.
- The medication must come in the proper dose and/or with the necessary measuring device(s).
- The student must have been administered the first dose at home.
