CREATING STRUCTURES IN GRADE 3
After all the learning the grade 3's did about Ancient Egypt and the incredible pyramids, the moved on to learning about all kinds of structures and the physics behind building them and what they need to remain standing. Students created their own structures using various materials to see if they could make a structure that would withstand 'wind' and an 'earthquake'. Using a blow dryer to simulate wind and blankets to simulate earthquakes. Did they withstand the elements? Ask your child how their creation did and about all the learning about structures.
