Music Education

Thank you to all the parents and students who visited the new music room at Mulvey during Parent-Teacher meetings. Your interest and support in your music maker’s music education are both appreciated and helpful in creating lifelong music learners. 

This year, our new Orff Ensemble had its debut performance at the Remembrance Day Ceremony on November 10^th. The Orff Ensemble performed an arrangement of In Flander’s Fields by John McCrae. Our Mulvey Choir is preparing for our upcoming Tour on December 12^th. This is a valuable and meaningful opportunity for our Choir singers to give back to our community. 

Music class in November is all about singing! All our Mulvey Music Makers are learning to match pitch, explore, utilize, and blend our head voices and chest voices, use vowel shapes and sounds, work on our diction through tongue twisters, and perform together as a classroom ensemble. This, of course, is in preparation for our Annual Mulvey Winter Concert! All classrooms are diligently rehearsing their winter-themed songs to perform at the Mulvey Winter Concert on December 17^th. Show times are at 1:30 pm and 6:30 pm. We look forward to seeing you there and supporting our wonderful singers!
