Interpreters

Many parents do not speak English or feel confident with their level of the English language.  Therefore, the Winnipeg School Division staffs several interpreters to assist the family and school to communicate.  These include, Chinese, Vietnamese, Tagalog/Filipino and Spanish.  For other languages the school can request services from Welcome Place.  

The school tries to provide interpreters at Student-Led Conferences and all meetings for all families who have indicated English is not spoken at home. Parents are also welcome to provide their own interpreter for meetings.
