Welcome to Kent Road School Library!

Welcome back Kodiaks and a warm welcome to the new friends who have joined us! I am excited to see you all in the library this year

September in the library is all about celebrating the excitement of coming back to school, the resoluteness of Terry Fox, the upcoming Autumn Season as well as acknowledging our National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

We will be sharing some fun read-aloud books and getting back into our routine. I hope everyone is looking forward to being curious, having adventures, and discovering new voices this year in the library. Come and visit as often as possible!

With over 6000 books in our collection, there is something for everyone. Once a cycle, students come with their classes to read a story, have a discussion, and exchange their books. Students can keep their books for one school cycle and then exchange them for new ones.

Outside of their scheduled library time, students are always welcome to come to the library to work, take a break, or exchange their books if it is okay with their classroom teacher.
