Sister Act - The Musical

Get ready to be sent to heaven with DMCI’s school musical this spring with our production of Sister Act! The show dates are on May 7th and 8th, 2025 at 7:00PM. 

20 remarkable students were cast for singing and acting roles, while another 30 make up the crew, all of which are working diligently to promote the musical, create props, art, costumes, manage hair and makeup, and run the show behind the scenes as stagehands. 

Four of our teachers are in charge of this production: Mrs. Caetano as the stage director, Ms. Zens as the music director, Ms. Maier as the choreographer, and Ms. Yudai as the set designer. A big thank you to them for coordinating the event and guiding the cast and crew to be at their best!

As for the plot of the musical, here is a short synopsis that’s sure to lift your spirits:

“When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one play the cops are sure she won’t be found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase, only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood.” (Music Theatre International)

Everyone who has been involved in this musical has worked hard since the beginning of January to create the most fabulous show possible.
