Today We Play Academy

20 student leaders from Clifton School joined other schools across Winnipeg to participate in the Today We Play Academy at Grant Park High School on January 31, 2014. This workshop developed students’ skills in teaching games to all the students at Clifton School and increased their knowledge of children’s rights through the power of play. Students learned about social justice, building character, the benefits of giving back to their school and community and living an active lifestyle through play. They developed skills in teamwork, cooperation and inclusion.
We are very proud of these students who will become certified as Junior Leaders and will lead Right To Play games that teach about children’s rights to all Clifton students. Clifton School will participate in the largest Play Day movement in Canada on May 8th.
