Mission Statement and Philosophy

Strathcona School is dedicated to creating an inclusive, welcoming and safe learning environment. We will recognize the diverse needs of students and ensure that programs are culturally responsive so that learning is reflective of student experiences. 

 

Assessment and Programming - Strengthen instructional and assessment strategies for all students with an emphasis on the Arts and Literacy with Information and Communication Technology.  

 

Enhancing student character development, self-esteem, achievement, and behaviour through a comprehensive and consistent Code of Conduct.

 

Strengthen and enhance Indigenous education through curriculum infusion, program development and learning opportunities for all.

 

Strengthening links with families and school to promote positive literacy and numeracy experiences for all children.
