Safety Patrols

We appreciate the service and responsibility that our students take on as patrols for our school. This is especially evident when patrols are on duty during the cold winter months.
Patrols will be on duty during the following times:
- 8:40 am – 8:55 am
- 11:55 am – 12:05 pm
- 12:40 pm – 12:55 pm
- 3:25 pm – 3:35 pm
In winter, patrols will do a normal duty schedule up to & including temperatures of -27°C windchills. When the weather is colder, they will be outside for considerably shorter times. When the windchill is -35°C or greater, no patrols will be on duty. Please help ensure that your child is dressed appropriately for patrol duty during these cold months.
There are four intersections surrounding the school where the patrols will be on duty:
- Beresford Ave and Cockburn St
- Rathgar Ave and Cockburn St
- Beresford Ave and Daly St
- Rathgar Ave and Daly St
It is important that you encourage your child to leave the school yard promptly at lunch and at the end of the school day. The patrols are only on their corners for a certain amount of time and in order for them to keep all children safe, students need to cross promptly at the patrolled corners.
