Club de Tricottage / Knitting Club

Your child has expressed interest in joining the grade 4/5/6 Knitting Club during the lunch hour on Tuesdays and Thusdays. This is a supervised club, to be held on the following dates:

Note: the date change is to avoid mixing cohorts. Rooms 23 and 28 are to attend only on Tuesdays and Rooms 21 and 22 are to attend only on Thursdays. If any dates are canceled, there is the option to add on more dates at the end of the schedule.

Students are to come to room 7 from 12:00-12:30, after eating their lunch. They must tell their lunch teacher before leaving the classroom to make sure that club and lunchroom attendance sheets match up. They will be assigned a seat within their class group and must use the same spot each time.

We will be focusing on loom knitting, finger knitting and crochet. Students are welcome to make pieces to donate to Siloam Mission for people in need or they can bring yarn to make pieces for themselves. If your child already has this skill, they are welcome to come and be a helper or just sit and work on a piece. Students are welcome to take their work home over the break to keep working on and then return it for the second half of the club in January.

There is a Google Classroom set up with videos to help for any at home work and practice.
