Welcome Back!
I am so happy to see all of our Kodiaks coming back to school and equally excited to meet all of the new kids joining our Kodiak family!
This month in the library we have some fun activities. Check out the new self-portrait station. Draw yourself as part of our school. This will be available until mid- October. There are also a variety of activity sheets that you can come grab as well!
On display, you will find back-to-school books for every kind of learner, books that encourage a growth mindset, books about being creative, books on the seven teachings and treaties as well as a selection of books celebrating Autumn! It will be here before you know it!
Come by and say Hi! introduce yourself with a self-portrait and check out a book or two!
Remember our "which class borrowed the most books" contest at the end of last year? We may be running that one again ;) so get a head start on your class total!
One thing to note, this year we are moving to a Monday-Friday library schedule. Hopefully that makes it easier for kids to remember to bring their library books on time.
Don't forget about Sora! Ebooks and audiobooks are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including the MYRCA 2027 collection and this year's Global Read Aloud selection.

There is something for everyone here in the library! Once a week, students come with their classes to read a story, have a discussion, and exchange their books. Students can keep their books for one school cycle and then exchange them for new ones.
Outside of their scheduled library time, students are always welcome to come to the library to work, take a break, or exchange their books if it is okay with their classroom teacher.
