Isaac Newton Junior High was founded on the ideal of self-definition. The founders realized that during these formative years, ages 11 to 14, students go through an intermediate stage of development. They built a school system based around students selecting their areas of study, and working to realize and create their own identities. To this day, Isaac Newton successfully employs this method of instruction.
