About Our School

November 13, 2024

Brock Corydon is a proudly part of the Winnipeg School Division, which is located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Situated in the community of River Heights, our school has an enrolment of 311 students. We offer the Nursery Program in English only and Kindergarten to Grade 6 is offered in both the English and Hebrew track. We are fortunate to have a daycare in the building and a before-and-after school program that runs outside of our building.

Brock Corydon was the first elementary school in Manitoba to have achieved the designation of a National  United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) school.  UNESCO is a positive force for change throughout the world and the Associated Schools Project Network (ASPnet) gives our students an excellent opportunity to develop a global perspective on issues affecting their everyday lives. As an associated school, Brock Corydon students connect with other school children to exchange information and implement projects at a local and international level. Our school proudly participates in UNESCO events and highlight the pillars associated with sustainability and living in a global village.

Both the English and Hebrew tracks integrate special education students, and diversity is celebrated throughout the school enriching the life lessons learned at Brock Corydon.  The school is committed to developing strong academic and social skills in an inclusive and nurturing environment.  Programs are supported and enhanced through an extensive Resource Program, Library and Technology Resources, Music programming, as well as French, Physical Education, Intramurals, and many extra-curricular clubs and activities. Students are encouraged to take active roles in a variety of student leadership opportunities including: Student Council, Technology Assistants, Safety Patrols, Compost Crew, Reading Buddies, Assembly Presentations, to name only a few.  Brock Corydon boasts an active and dedicated Parent Advisory Council and fosters a family friendly environment.
