Lunch Program

What is Lunch Program?

New for the 2024-25 year, we will not be charging families for our lunch program. Initially, The King Edward Lunch Program will be available to King Edward families registered last year and King Edward families who work or are attending school. By the end of the school year, we hope to offer this program to all students who would like to stay for lunch. We will keep our community updated. 

Lunch Program Schedule

Beginning at 12:00 pm, students will be supervised and provided time to eat and play for the duration of the lunch hour.

• Students in grades 1-3 will eat for 25 minutes in their classrooms. After which they will have a 5-minute period to clean up and get ready to go outside. 
• Students will have a movement break for the remaining 25 minutes. 
• They will return at 12:55 pm for afternoon classes
• Students in grades 4-6 will begin with a movement break for 25 minutes
• At 12:30 they will eat for 25 minutes in their classroom
• They will return at 12:55 pm for afternoon classes
  
  

Emergency Lunch

If something unexpected occurs and you need your child to stay for lunch please call the school to inform the clerks. If students require a lunch, Sam the nutrition coordinator will provide students with a lunch.
