Argyle offers a variety of Science courses that will let students gain the requirements to enter post-secondary education.
General Science 20F
This course enables students to enhance their understanding of concepts and conduct investigations to develop their understanding of scientific theories related to connections between atoms, systems in animals and plants, chemical reactions, as well as, forces that affect climate and climate change.
Students are given opportunities to further develop their scientific investigation skills through lobs and videos.
Current Topics In Science 30S
The role of this course is to provide students an opportunity to develop scientific literacy. It is a student driven course that aims to understand the intersections of science, technology and society.
This course encourages students to explore topics that they find interesting. Students are encouraged to use technology to demonstrate their learning.
Interdisciplinary Science 40S
Science is for everyone! We should all care about the research happening in labs, communities and field sites around the world because it affects our lives in so many ways. This course will help students learn skills to communicate and understand science in a way that is accurate, accessible and engaging.
Course content is taught through in-class sessions and mini-projects. It will focus on investigating science through individual research to explore all of the aspects in the natural world.
