National Day of Awareness for MMIWG2S

Also known as Red Dress Day, May 5 is recognized as the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S). The day honours and raises awareness of the thousands of Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ (Two Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex and asexual plus) people who have been subject to disproportionate levels of violence in our society.
